Risk of a wrong converter

Catalytic converters should be checked regularly. If the converter is functioning incorrectly, it poses dangers to the environment and reduces engine performance.

• Increased back pressure (gas flow resistance) causing power loss and excessive water and oil temperature
• Ignition problems.

2.2. Pollution

• Harmful toxic gases
• Contributes to acid rain.
